USA Cricket’s Foundational Plan, 2020-2023, identified the need to increase participation across all aspects of the sport as one of its key strategic objectives. In support of that objective, and as a priority action, USA Cricket has set out to; ‘design and deliver a pathway and related programs, education materials and certification to support all match officials in this country.’

The USA Cricket Umpiring Program and Pathway sets out details of a pathway of certification courses and support programs that USA Cricket will establish in due course from grassroots to international level umpiring, the creation of a USA Cricket Umpires Development Panel and a USA Cricket Umpires Elite Panel, guidelines for match appointment, performance monitoring tools, and an initial umpire registration and categorization process.

USA Cricket needs quality officials at every level of the game if we are to achieve our goals. We know there are many fantastic umpires and scorers all around the country doing yeoman’s work week in and week out. But we want more of you! The first step in your journey is to register to become an official member umpire of USA Cricket.

Don’t worry if you are yet to get any official Umpire certification, we will also provide world-class training, certification, and resources to our members. Our officials will be USA Cricket certified, therefore we are working in consultation with top umpires and scorers from around the US and the world to put together an umpires and scorers training program that will be the envy of the world.
