USA Cricket is thrilled to announce that the women’s national team will tour Zimbabwe for a 5-match ODI series against the 14th ranked Women’s ODI team from October 17th to 28th, 2024.
USA has only played two ODIs since it gained ODI status in 2022. The team will be looking to build on the momentum from the ODI series earlier this year in the UAE against Papua New Guinea and Scotland.
This tour will mark USA’s second visit to the African nation with the first being the 2021 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier which ended prematurely due to Covid-19.
Head-to-head, USA and Zimbabwe are 1-1 in this format of the game but both encounters were not considered ODIs given that USA did not have ODI status until 2022.
In 2011, USA pulled off a memorable victory against Zimbabwe in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Bangladesh. In 2021, Zimbabwe turned the table on USA in the World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe.
Women’s National Head Coach, Hilton Moreeng said, “We are looking forward to play ODI cricket and challenge ourselves as a team to keep improving in this format. The longer format offers a different challenge for the team, however the team shows a lot of promise and with the talented group of players we have, we’re looking forward to a successful tour in Zimbabwe.”

· Thursday, October 17, 9:15am: 1st ODI
· Sunday, October 20, 9:15am: 2nd ODI
· Wednesday, October 23, 9:15am: 3rd ODI
· Saturday, October 26, 9:15am: 4th ODI
· Monday, October 28, 9:15am: 5th ODI
