Bio

Like so many of her USA teammates, Isani “Isu” Vaghela, born in the USA, started playing cricket in her pre-teen years in the San Francisco Bay Area under the watchful eyes of her father and brother. The Fremont, CA right-hand middle-order batter is a big fan of Australian Ellyse Perry and sees cricket as a stress reliever. She also credits cricket with teaching her many skills for use in everyday life.

As an allrounder, Isani bowls right-arm medium pace. Isani finds motivation in the support received from her coach with guidance and training and the competition between her teammates. Those forces encourage her to keep working hard to become a better player.

Representing the USA means everything to Isani, and she takes pride in the opportunity. She notes that her international cricket debut at the 2021 ICC Americas T20 Qualifier in Mexico City and winning the inaugural USA Women’s National and U19 National championship highlights her cricketing journey so far.
