Bio

Ritu Singh was born on March 8, 2006 in the USA and began playing cricket just five years later! Her cricket journey started in her parents’ academy, MYCA, and she was especially inspired due to her father’s passion. Ritu is a batting all-rounder from St. Louis who bowls off-spin. At first, the sport had its challenges, but she grew to love cricket and meet new people through it. She is honored to represent her country at the national level whilst playing a sport that excites her.

Her favorite players include legendary wicketkeeper-batter MS Dhoni, Suryakumar Yadav, and Chris Gayle. Some of her most memorable moments of the game include scoring a double century in a domestic T20 game and hitting three sixes against Canada in the 2023 Regional Qualifiers for the World Cup! She also has other accomplishments, including 188 runs in 89 balls and 141 runs in 97 balls. Along with cricket, she plays other sports such as softball, gymnastics, and diving.

She is grateful for her parents’ support, especially during the beginning stages of her career. In addition, she would like to thank coaches she met in domestic tournaments (Coach Rashid and Coach Chita), as well as national coaches (Coach Asif, Coach Shiv, and Coach Charlotte).
