U15 Girls’ National Championship: Day Two

Day two of the U15 Girls National Tournament started with a win for the West team. After batting first and putting 83/9 on the scoreboard they managed to defend their score by bowling out the East team for 80. Stand out performances with the bat from Chinmayi Arivuselvan with her quick 24 of 14 balls with the bat and then picking up 3/15 with the ball awarded her the player of the match award. Saanvi Javiya from the East picked up 4/17 for her side.

In a thrilling start to the day, the West team’s exceptional fielding and disciplined bowling set the tone for a competitive match. The West team’s determination and teamwork were evident as they celebrated their narrow victory, showcasing the rising talent in the tournament.

Game two saw the East come back strong and restrict the West to 84 all out. Monisha Sagi performed well with the ball picking up 2/9 in her 4 overs which included one maiden over. Neerja Coudhari scored 26 in her side’s effort. East reached their target in the last over making this yet another close game. Mahek Desai scored a well-played 38 to clinch victory for her side.

Chinmayi Arivuselvan was awarded the Player of the Match award for Match 1.
