The U15 Girls’ National Championship wrapped up today, with the East team emerging as champions after three days of fantastic, nail-biting cricket. These young athletes showcased their immense talent over the weekend, entertaining us with some truly close matches.

USA Cricket extends its gratitude to Cricket for Cubs and the City of Dublin for their warm welcome and unwavering support in fostering the growth of female cricket within the community. We also want to thank the volunteers who generously offered their time and effort; your dedication and hard work are invaluable and a special thank you to the coaches and managers, Foram Desai for the East team and Sonal Modak for the West team, for their hard work and dedication.

Celeste Du Toit, USA Cricket Women’s Coordinator, said: “We have seen some really competitive cricket over the last three days. I am excited to see what the future holds for these bright young stars and witness their journey all the way to the top. This U15 tournament is a great initiative and provides a platform for younger players in preparing them for what is to come.”

Tournament Highlights:

After a great weekend of cricket, both teams went into the final day having won two games each. The West team won the toss and decided to bowl first. Sahasra Gorla scored 24 runs, helping her team post 83/8 in their 20 overs. Srinidhi Sagiraju delivered an exceptional performance with the ball, picking up 3/6 in her 4 overs, including 3 maidens. In their innings, the West team lost early wickets and were bowled out for 61. Simiksha Sivakumar scored an unbeaten 24 runs, while Neha Alapati from the East team took 3/8 in her 4 overs, earning her the Player of the Match award.

  • Best Bowler by Economy Rate: Srinidhi Sagiraju
