USA Cricket is pleased to announce that the registration numbers for the women’s domestic pathway, 2024 season, increased over prior year with 230 new registrants. Seattle, Atlanta, LA/San Diego, Bay Area, and St. Louis all reported the strongest growth in numbers.

Local efforts to grow women’s cricket in the St. Louis, MO area resulted in having a strong enough pool of players to add a team to the 2024 Intraregional Competition and USA Cricket is happy to announce St. Louis Shooting Stars will be the newest team to participate in the official pathway competition.

Volunteer Team Coordinators (VTCs) have been appointed to oversee the successful organization and promotion of the teams participating, and with backing from USA Cricket, the VTCs will be looking to engage members of their local communities to support the advancement of women and girls’ cricket throughout the USA. USA Women’s Coordinator, Julie Abbott, stated “It is exciting to move into the next phase of growth with our domestic pathway and the intraregional competition. Our Volunteer Team Coordinators will be instrumental in helping us get to the next level by helping to obtain local support and sponsors for their team, and at the same time ensuring players have the resources they need to have a more professional experience. Our women and girls deserve to have quality, certified coaches to help advance their game, and they need to be playing on the best available grounds, where conditions are suited for their improved performance.”
