The USA Men’s National Team will tour Antigua later this month to compete in the Cricket West Indies (CWI) Regional Super50 tournament.

Team USA will join the six CWI franchises (Barbados Pride, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, Windward Island Volcanoes, Jamaica Scorpions, Leeward Islands Hurricanes, Guyana Jaguars), Combined Campuses & Colleges Marooners and two English county sides – Hampshire and Kent. Given the level of competition this event provides, this is a great opportunity for the USA squad to continue to develop as a unit and build on the momentum from the past several months

The U.S. Men’s Selection Panel has made several changes, largely at the top-order, from last year’s tour to the Middle East. Chairman of Selectors, Ricardo Powell said: “Upon return from Abu Dhabi and Oman, we were keen to develop our batting unit and Coach has been working very closely with small groups of national players over the past several weeks to fine tune our skills in this department.

“I am confident the group selected will wear the red, white and blue with pride both on and off the field.”

USA Project Manager, Eric Parthen, said: “We are grateful for the opportunity afforded to USA Cricket by CWI to compete in this tournament. Our team will benefit immensely from this experience and I encourage the entire community to follow our digital assets to support the U.S. players.”

Team USA will arrive in Antigua on January 27 for training and preparation before the first match against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes on January 31.
