USA Cricket today announced the commencement of the election process to fill the Female Independent Director position on its Board of Directors. This key role is designed to bring external governance expertise and a fresh perspective to the organization, supporting USA Cricket’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and the continued professionalization of the sport in the United States.
The Independent Director position is vital in ensuring strong governance, strategic oversight, and alignment with global best practices. Candidates for this position should have demonstrated leadership experience in sports governance, business, or other relevant fields, and a commitment to fostering the growth and professionalism of cricket in the U.S.
Election Process and Timeline
The election timeline for the Independent Director position is as follows:
· February 15, 2025 – Notification sent requesting applications.
· February 15-24, 2025 – Application submission period.
· March 31, 2025 – Expected completion of the selection process.
Any individual who wishes to be considered, or to be put forward by another person for consideration, is invited to submit their application by no later than February 24, 2025, 11:59 PM PST.
Eligible Candidates must be citizens or permanent residents of, and residing in the United States of America.
