USA Cricket has announced the squad to compete at the ICC Americas’ Sub Regional Qualifier which will take place in Raleigh, North Carolina next month.

Following the recently concluded talent identification combines across the United States, a group of 39 players were invited to a selection camp in Houston where the final team was selected. Commenting on the team, USA Chairman of Selectors, Ricardo Powell, said, “There were some incredibly difficult decisions to be made in selecting this team however, we feel this team is well balanced and has the potential to take the USA to great heights. This year’s combine process highlighted the talent we have across the country, at all levels, and I’m excited to work with the next generation of cricketer.”

A total of nine uncapped players will be brought into the fold next month and USA Head Coach, Pubudu Dassanayake, is excited by the prospect of each debutant. “It says a lot about the quality of cricketers in the USA when the combines can produce such a strong group of debutants to represent the country. I feel we have the perfect mix of experience and youth in this squad and am eagerly awaiting the ICC tournaments we have on the horizon.”
