USA Cricket has been approved by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) Board of Directors, as a new member of the Affiliate Organizations Council (AOC) within the Recognized Sport Organization category, effective immediately.

An active membership status with the USOPC AOC provides USA Cricket with access to many of the USOPC resources. The AOC supports collaboration and best practices amongst other affiliates.

USA Cricket Interim Chair Atul Rai said, “This is truly an exciting day and a celebratory moment for USA Cricket and we are really proud of the member status granted upon us by the USOPC. We would like to extend a special thanks to Fara Gorsi, Regional Manager at ICC Americas, for all the help in facilitating the application process to obtain the AOC member status.”

Founded in 1894 and headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the USOPC serves as both the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee for the United States. The USOPC is focused on protecting, supporting and empowering America’s athletes, and is responsible for fielding U.S. teams for the Olympic, Paralympic, Youth Olympic, Pan American and Parapan American Games, and serving as the steward of the Olympic and Paralympic movements in the U.S.
