With the first leg of the tour behind them, Team USA now hop on a short flight from UAE to Oman for a series of three 50 over matches against the home side.

The delight of a big win over Nepal on Friday was tempered by a disappointing batting performance against Kenya the following day on Saturday. USA Head Coach, Pubudu Dassanayake is certainly seeing the positives however.

“It’s a good group and they’re really keen to learn. That’s the most important thing.”

The experience gained in Abu Dhabi should hold them in good stead as they come up against a team that they beat in the final of World Cricket League Division 4 just over 12 months ago. Since then Oman have progressed to Division 2, whilst the USA have stayed at Division 3 level. These three matches will be a great test of where both of these up-and-coming sides are.
