The official USA Cricket Membership program launched last week. For anyone with any queries around some of the different membership categories, the process of joining and more information we have put together this helpful Frequently Asked Questions document to assist.

What types of membership does USA Cricket offer?
A. Individual or Organizational Memberships are offered by USA Cricket. Individual members include cricketers, coaches, umpires, scorers, administrators, supporters and fans. Organizational Members include Leagues, Clubs and Other Organizations.
Who can sign up as an Individual member and what benefits does it offer?
A. Any player (cricketer), coach, umpire, referee, volunteer, manager, administrator, scorer, supporter, and fan who wants to be a part of USA Cricket can join. Benefits include secondary sports accident insurance, voting rights, access to USA Cricket programs, eligibility to represent the U.S. National Teams, access to newsletters and exclusive content, discounts on products, etc. In addition, USA Cricket staff will continually work to include additional value-added benefits to your membership.
Who can sign up as an Organizational member and what benefits does it offer?
A. Leagues, Clubs and Other Organizations (Academies, Schools, Universities) are eligible to join USA Cricket as Organizational Members.
How do sign up to become a member of USA Cricket?
A. All individuals must first sign up as an Individual member of USA Cricket. To do so, visit this page on the USA Cricket website. Under “Individual”, you will see a button to “Join.” Clicking on this button will bring you to the beginning of the join process.
How do you sign up as a League?
A. You must sign up as an Individual member first, by clicking here and creating an account. Following which you can sign up your league by clicking here.
Select “My Teams/Leagues.”, then select the League, then click purchase membership in the top right. Select the membership type, add the item to your cart, and enter your payment information. As a reminder, there is no cost for the introductory membership through June 30, 2018.
How do you become eligible to vote as a League?
A. By ensuring your League has staged at least one (1) cricket competition in the previous twelve months involving at least three (3) Clubs within its Zone which have designated that League as their Primary League. All three (3) clubs must have aligned with you league and have twelve (12) or more registered players.
How do you sign up as a Club?
A. You must sign up as an Individual member first, by clicking here and creating an account. Following which you can sign up your club by clicking here.

How do you become eligible to vote as a Club?
A. By ensuring your club has: (i) operated in the previous twelve months at least one (1) team of at least twelve (12) or more registered Individual Members who have declared such cricket club or team as their Primary Club; and (ii) participated in at least one competition in the previous twelve months that is organized by a registered League.
If my Club is a member of USA Cricket, do I have to have an Individual membership as well?
A. Yes, you do need to have an Individual membership even if your club has their own membership through USA Cricket.
What if I can’t find my Club or League?
A. Visit this page on the USA Cricket website. Once you’ve submitted your League or Club information, it will be uploaded into our system soon.
How can I update my personal/membership information once I register with USA Cricket?
A. Log in to your profile at usacricket.org, enter any information changes you would like to change and click save.
How much does it cost to be a member?
A. For the introductory membership between now and June 30, 2018, there is no cost for membership in USA Cricket. All members will need to renew by July 1, 2018 to continue membership through December 31, 2018. The cost of membership in July 2018 is $35 for Individuals and $100 for Leagues and Clubs. USA Cricket is confident that the value proposition for membership will far outweigh the costs starting in July and thereafter. In January 2019, USA Cricket membership will last for the calendar year with a cost that is to be determined.
How long does my membership last for?
A. As mentioned in the question above, the introductory no fee membership lasts until June 30, 2018. The following membership cycle will last from July 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018. All subsequent memberships will be good for the calendar year ending on December 31 of each year.
Do I need a background check to be a member?
A. Given that USA Cricket has a significant youth focus and we strive to be a world-class organization in everything we do, especially with respect to protecting our youth, background checks are required for all non-cricketer (player) members (with the exception of fans) every two years. Memberships are not considered current or to be in good standing unless there is a background check with a clearance date within the past two (2) years on file. Background checks are conducted as part of the membership sign up and renewal process. For questions about background checks, please contact usacricketmembership@iccamericas.com.
What is USA Cricket’s background check policy?
A. The background check includes a criminal background check conducted by Verified First, the background check provider engaged by USA Cricket. The cost of the search is $12.75 which must be paid by the prospective member and is good for 24 months. Having non-player members submit to a background check is a minimum national standard for sports organizations in the United States.
